My Dearest Friend, both a civics lesson and love story, is about the American Revolution and the founding of the United States revealed through the rich, witty and passionate correspondence between Abigail and John Adams. They spent years apart, sometimes on separate continents, but stayed intensely in love for more than half a century. The Adams’ are remembered today as two key architects of America’s enduring legacy: democracy, freedom, the rule of law and government by the people, responsible to the needs of the people. Their love story changed the world.

On behalf of Time Travel Theatrical, I want to thank everyone involved with our inaugural production My Dearest Friend. Our production was strategically timed to coincide with our Nation’s 250th birthday celebration.
Our wonderful production staff, talented cast, hardworking crew, generous sponsors, and appreciative audiences helped to make the production a huge success. (Please see below.) We partnered with six area venues, offering 14 performances of Peter Manos’ play, which is based on the letters between President John Adams and First Lady Abigail Adams. Over 700 audience members attended the performances and another 100+ watched when the performances were streamed in August.
One of the highlights of the production was being invited to perform at Adams National Historic Park/Peacefield, which was the home of John and Abigail Adams. What an honor it was for our cast members to perform the roles of these founding patriots on the land where they once lived and worked! Another highlight was being interviewed by WBZ in Boston for a featured promotional segment that aired for two days during their newscast.
I look forward to offering other quality, historically based productions in the near future and hope you will continue as patrons of Time Travel Theatrical.
